NICE Guidance

NICE GuidanceNice published a guideline on the management of the diabetic foot in August 2015. 

This guideline covers preventing and managing foot problems in children, young people and adults with diabetes. The guideline aims to reduce variation in practice.

In January 2016, recommendation 1.3.6 was updated to clarify the risk factors for and stratification of risk of developing a diabetic foot problem.

The International Working Group on the Diabetic Foot was founded in 1996, to provide a consensus on guidance.

In 2015, they issued Guidance on the use of interventions to enhance the healing of chronic ulcers of the foot in Diabetes
