WWIC team is deeply saddened to learn the passing away of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. We offer our deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to the Royal Family. She had a long and glorious reign, serving her country with utmost commitment and dignity.

I am saddened to inform you of the death of our dear friend and colleague, Jane Hopkins, who passed away surrounded by her loving family after a courageous battle with cancer. Jane's sociable personality, sense of humour, fun and boundless energy will be sorely missed by us all.
Jane joined the Wound Healing Team in 1992 and has been a member of the wound family since that time. A tribute VIDEO has been created has been created in Jane’s memory. Jane, a kind, caring and treasured family woman, a cherished colleague, and friend, will be sorely missed by her work family, but never will she be forgotten by those who were fortunate enough to have known her.
Jane’s funeral is being held at 11.00 am on Thursday, September 1st at Thornhill Crematorium, Cardiff CF14 9UA.
Jane’s family requests that, in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to City Hospice, Ty Hosbis, Park Road, Whitchurch, Cardiff CF14 7BF.

Celebrating 27 Years of the Leg Club Model
The Leg Club® movement is a global initiative, designed to care for people suffering
from or at risk of chronic leg disease within a social model of care. ‘The LegRaiser’ is
a fundraiser setup to commemorate the 27th year of The Leg Club model and to raise
much needed funds for The Leg Club Foundation to continue their excellent work.

Welsh Wound Innovation Centre (WWIC) is looking for Healthy Volunteers to participate in an ethically approved study which is about to start.
Participants will be asked to visit WWIC twice, for approximately 6 hours in total and will be asked to lie on a number of different mattresses whilst pressure measurements are taken. They will be offered a £100 inconvenience payment for their time.
