Rachel Davey

Executive Assistant












Rachel started working in the Wound Healing Research Unit, Cardiff University in 1997, becoming Professor Harding’s Personal Assistant in 2000. Rachel coordinates WWIC activities and is a key point of contact for internal and external stakeholders including Welsh Government, NHS and commercial sponsors.  Her working relationship with key contacts helps improve service levels and develop links with the University and outside bodies.



 

Susan Taylor: Cert Ed (FE)

Centre Manager












Susan has worked in an administrative capacity with Professor Harding since the inception of the Wound Healing Research Unit in 1991.  Her remit covers obtaining tenders for service contracts and SLAs for WWIC and the day to day financial procedures incurred in running the facility. She has 25 years of expertise in the administrative aspects of clinical, laboratory and healthy volunteer research in both single and multi-centre research studies with academic and commercial partners. She has a particular expertise in the use of the industry costing template, REC, R&D and SSI submissions and the Integrated Research Application System (IRAS).

Jane Hopkins

Admin Assistant

Jane joined the University in Cardiff in 1985 as a part-time secretary in the Department of Surgery, School of Medicine.  Jane has worked in the Wound Healing Research Unit since 1992 in various administrative/secretarial roles. Jane provides admin support to the Director of Education & Training and to the Commercial Director at the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre. 

Samantha Davies

Admin Assistant

Samantha Davies began working for The Wound Healing Research Unit, Cardiff University as a Clerical Assistant to Professor Keith Harding and his Executive Assistant, Rachel Davey in August 2007. She deals with enquires from internal and external customers to establish working relationships with key contacts to help improve service levels and is involved with all aspects of administration for Academic and Clinical staff.

Sabina Reynolds

Admin Assistant

Sabina joined the Welsh Wound Innovation Centre as a Receptionist in June 2018.She deals with enquiries from internal and external customers to establish working relationships with key contacts to help improve service level, she also provides admin support to the Centre Manager.
